Some decent races with some nice potential bombs on
the card.
Race 1) The picks:
11-2-5-6 Confidence level:
Slightly above average
#11 Cognito 2-1 may be sitting on a nice one here for a solid barn
that knows how to win so he gets a timid vote in a contentious race.
#2 Callmetony 3-1 usually tries & will be coming on in the lane
here for a strong combo.
#5 Temore 4-1 may be poised to rebound here at a decent price
after a win vs. a fairly similar group.
Other contenders: #6 Four Star General 6-1
Race 2) The picks: 2-6-3-5
Confidence level: Above average
#2 Swinging Tune 8-5 comes off a break to move turf to dirt for a
new & better barn so this one may show a lot more here, especially since he has
a dirt pedigree, call.
#6 Percussion 7/2 has figures that make him tough here but he may
prefer nibbling to winning so a minor award seems more likely than a win
#3 Glickman 4-1 has all the tools to come out running for a barn
that can win w/ similar so he may be live.
Other contenders: #5 Moon On Fire 5-1
Race 3) The picks: 9-8-6-2
Confidence level: Below average
#9 Troop Support 4-1 could be sitting on a break through effort
here for a barn that may be ready to get hot so if this one handles the class
hike in his 1st crack @ winners then he might be the one.
#8 Starr West 9/2 could be sitting on a nice effort here in his 3rd
off a break for a barn that is red-hot right now, dangerous.
#6 Papa Frita 6-1 can come on late for a share @ a nice price but
anything more seems a bit unrealistic.
Other contenders: #2 Ducale 6-1
Race 4) The picks: 4-9-6-2
Confidence level: Above average
#4 Hook And Lateral 2-1 is bred to run on dirt not turf so he
should show a lot more as he ships in, adds lasix & moves turf to dirt for his
second race while under the care of a barn whose runners often need one.
#9 Dream Drop Kid 4-1 drops in class but still may need this one
as he comes off a long rest but if he is close to ready he should @ least get a
share here.
#6 Sailmate 4-1 put in a useful debut run last out so if he builds
on that @ all while coming off a break then he could be a major player here for
a barn that does well w/ similar.
Other contenders: #2 A Rod 5-1
Race 5) The picks: 2-3-8-10
Confidence level: Average
#2 Pin Number 7/2 drops in class & has races that put him right
there if he is ready off a break for a barn that can win w/ similar, maybe.
#3 Jungle Rain 4-1 ran a nice one to win his debut last out but
has not been seen since so he needs to be ready off a break & he must improve on
that effort so demand value.
#8 Token Sacrifice 5-1 shook loose last out & tossed a big one but
let’s see it again this time while under early pressure, odds call.
Other contenders: #10 Fortitude 5-1
Race 6) The picks: 6-7-4-10
Confidence level: Poor
#6 Cihangir 6-1 has done well on polytracks across the pond & this
field is dreadful. It’s almost hard to believe he could be this bad even though
he is making his true dirt & US debuts here while adding lasix off a nearly 2
year break so he gets the nod.
#7 Little Wise Guy 6-1 hates to win but has some of the better
figures in here so he might be dangerous in this heat.
#4 Jello Shot 8-1 returns to claimers here & that may help him get
back on track & thus a possibility here.
Other contenders: #10 Drink At Last Call 8-1
Race 7) The picks: 7-5-4-1
Confidence level: Slightly below average
#7 Royal Sighting 3-1 probably needed his latest as he came off a
rest so he may improve for a barn that does very well w/ similar.
#5 Ava K. 7/2 bounced slightly last out in her route debut after a
career run 2 back but she could easily rebound here for an ok barn & remain
undefeated, contender.
#4 Mysterious Chimes 9/2 bounced last out after a solid win vs.
maidens 2 back so she could rebound here as she ships in to stretch out for her
stakes & route debuts here, live longshot.
Other contenders: #1 Hot Summer 6-1
Race 8) The picks: 4-2-7-8
Confidence level: Average
#4 Dr Disco 3-1 may be the speed of the speed here so he might be
able to take these coast to coast if he can show a just a little more.
#2 Buffum 3-1 goes for a barn that wins a lot & he showed a lot of
promise in his debut so this one might be live but demand a fair price.
#7 Vengeful Wildcat 3-1 has improved w/ each race to date & if he
continues that trend here in his 2nd off a rest he may be the one.
Other contenders: #8 Royal Currier 6-1
Race 9) The picks: 6-3-10-4
Confidence level: Average
#6 Yawanna Twist 3-1 cuts back in his 3rd off a rest
for a barn that excels w/ similar & this one has a pattern indicating he may be
sitting on a huge effort today so he gets the nod.
#3 Laysh Laysh Laysh 7-2 likes the trip but is coming off a break
so he might not be totally ready & his running style leaves him @ the mercy of
both the trip as well as the pace, odds call.
#10 Morning Line 5-1 has the figures & barn can win w/ this kind
as they cut back off a break but this may be a prep race, tough call.
Other contenders: #4 Kensei 6-1
Race 10) The picks: 5-2-4-7
Confidence level: Strong
#5 Uncle Mo 1-2 towers over these & has yet to lose so he is the
one to beat but in this heat that seems unlikely unless something odd happens or
someone makes a huge move forward.
#2 Toby’s Corner 5-1 bounced last out after a career run 2 back
but he could easily rebound here for an tough barn, the one to fear.
#4 Arthur’s Tale 10-1 probably needed his latest as he came off a
rest so he may improve for a barn that does very well w/ similar.
Other contenders: #7 Duca 12-1
Race 11) The picks: 1-4-3-10
Confidence level: Below average
#1 Person Of Interest 4-1 has the class & efforts that put him
there if he is ready to go off a break for a barn that does well w/ similar, a
possibility despite taking on winners for the 1st time today.
#4 Market Analysis 4-1 has a turf pedigree & could show a lot more
in his turf debut for an underrated grass barn.
#3 Con The Cat 6-1 has some efforts that give him a small chance
in here if he can run back to his best truf try.
